About Stop, Drop, Rock ‘n’ Roll
Over the past 21 years, Stop, Drop, Rock ‘n’ Roll has played an important part in honoring America’s fallen firefighters. It is a chance for firefighters to give back to the fire service and have fun at the same time. Your participation helps the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation honor and support the families of firefighters who have died in the line of duty. Join us for great food, entertainment, and live and silent auctions!
The event is held at the Indiana (Roof) Ballroom, located at 140 West Washington Street, in downtown Indianapolis next to the Embassy Suites Hotel and across from the Hyatt Regency Hotel. The Ballroom’s main entrance is located on Washington Street under the Indiana Repertory Theatre’s Marquee and is an indoor venue.

This unique Indianapolis venue specializes in ambiance, excellent service and an unforgettable atmosphere. The stunning architecture of the Indiana Roof Ballroom replicates a quaint, European village with authentic stucco facades and red-tiled roofs, along with a second story balcony that surrounds the room. The soaring 30 foot ceiling behind the balcony is a starry blue night sky with a shimmering crescent moon, creating the illusion of being outside. Styled after the courtyard of a European village, the 15,700 square foot facility includes a 3,000 square foot bar and cocktail area, which showcases an ornate Italian bar, an 8,700 square foot ballroom floor encircled by a 2,500 square foot promenade area and overlooked by a 1,500 square foot balcony area.
Silent Auction Benefits the Families of Our Fallen Firefighters
Competition is fierce at the Stop, Drop, Rock ‘n’ Roll Live Auction. Part of the fun comes from watching competitive bidding as firefighters from around the country bid on a variety of items ranging from a full set of turn out gear to a pearl necklace.
Stop, Drop, Rock ‘n’ Roll includes a Silent Auction, which benefits the programs of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. The Foundation leads the nationwide effort to remember America’s fallen firefighters. Its programs assist families and co-workers of firefighters who have died in the line of duty.
